Actions credited to Anonymous are undertaken by unidentified individuals who apply the Anonymous label as attribution for, amongst other things, Distributed Denial of Service (DDos) attacks such as Operation Chanology in 2008 and Operation Payback in 2010.
In December 2010 Operation Payback organisers (supposedly from the sub-group Anon Ops) focused their attention in DDoS attacks on websites of companies that oppose WikiLeaks.
