UK ENGLAND LONDON 22SEP04 - Author and novellist Tracey Chevalier at her home in Kentish Town, North London. Her novel 'Girl With a Pearl Earring' has been turned into a film by Peter Webber starring Colin Firth and Scarlett Johansson and is now showing in German cinemas. Chevalier (42), moved to the UK in 1984 and has been writing novels since 1993 when she embarked on an MA course in creative writing.
